About MeMy name is Samantha Waddell, I am a married military spouse with 3 children. Over the years I have seen MANY changes in the car seat world, with confusing and often hard to navigate advice/information, and tons of misuse from well intentioned parents (even my own past mistakes). All of which have fueled my passion for car seat safety. I wanted to help, not only myself, but other parents understand and use their car seats properly and safely, so I became a certified Car Seat Technician in 2007. Since then I have continued my education in the child passenger safety field, to keep children as safe as possible, as research and new technology continues to evolve. I was first trained through St John Ambulance, and completed my certification requirements in 2012 to become a CPST through the Canadian Passenger Safety Association of Canada, or CPSAC. As of June 2017, I became a certified instructor with CPSAC. Which means I can train and certify those who want to become CPSTs. With my knowledge and training I help hundreds of families, in person or online, every year to keep their little ones safe as possible. Unfortunately at this time I am no longer doing in-person seat checks. You can find a local CPST who can help you by going to www.cpsac.org/find-a-tech |
