CPST Training - Calgary Alberta - August 21-23, 2026 - $350
Do you have a passion for child safety? Do you regularly transport children and want to ensure they are travelling as safely as possible?
This program certifies participants as Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) through the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC). Participants will learn about the mechanics of a collision, Canadian legislation governing child restraints, and the different stages and types of child restraint systems and how they function.
The course includes extensive hands-on practice to build confidence with a variety of installation methods, as well as training on how to effectively support parents and caregivers in selecting and using car seats and booster seats correctly.
Successful candidates will receive a CPST certificate valid for three years, membership with CPSAC, volunteer liability insurance, access to regional and national networking and peer support, and ongoing updates as technology, standards, and best practices evolve.

Refund & Cancellation Policy – Public CPST CoursesParticipant Cancellation
- Cancellations received 14 days or more prior to the course start date are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the course start date are non-refundable, as course materials, venue costs, and instructor commitments have already been finalized.
- Participants who do not attend or withdraw after the course has begun are not eligible for a refund.
Course Cancellation by Organizer
- In the event that Car Seat Connection cancels a course (including cancellation due to low registration), participants will receive a full refund of all fees paid, including any Afterpay payments.
- Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.
- For payments made using Afterpay, refunds will be processed through Afterpay in accordance with their terms.
- Car Seat Connection does not issue refunds via e-transfer or alternate payment methods for Afterpay transactions
